The format of the edition is also not accidental, it is organically combined with the internal structure of the book. The structure of the text — long, narrow columns of the poems — determine its non-standard elongated shape
The case and dust jacket are not mandatory elements of the book. However, they were added as structural elements to transform this book into a gift edition.
The font is an integral part of this work — the Gothic fonts were selected to preserve the authenticity of the work.
All illustrations for the book are hand-drawn. Both technique of performance and the choice of illustrations are determined by the period of the book’s creation. The book "Ship of Fools" was first published at the end of the 15th century, which is why I decided to preserve the medieval aesthetics of the book. The works of medieval masters, in particular Hieronymus Bosch, had a great influence on my work on the illustrative part. I scanned the hand-drawn images and processed them in Adobe Illustrator.
